(Left) With Professor T.P.G. Liverman at his Virginia estate ca. 1992. Liverman was the Chair of the Mathematics
Department during my tenure at GWU. I was very fortunate to have him as department chair when I was a (foreign)
student. We both worked on a book titled: Calculus for the Curious. (Right) Ms. Mary Breen (with Divya),
Secretary for Mathematics Department, the first person I met at GWU after my arrival in Washington, D.C.
in August 1978.

2115 F. Street, NW. (Right) Amir Maleki, a fellow student in the Ph.D. programme in mathematics and
a good friend of mine, was my roommate then.

level monographs on semigroup compactifications.
