I started my academic career at American College, Madurai, in 1965 as a full-time instructor of
mathematics. I served for 20 years at American College as professor of mathematics, of which I
spent seven years at George Washington University on leave of absence (1978-1985), teaching
and working on my Ph.D. degree. I was at North central College, Naperville, Illinois, for 30 years,
first 10 years as professor of mathematics and the rest 20 years as vice-president for academic
affairs and dean of faculty. I retired from the College in 2015, marking the end of my 50 years
of academic journey .
The College bid farewell to me by celebrating my retirement. The first video is a tribute to my
service by the College, the second video on the top row and the first video on the bottom row
by the faculty and the last one is a toast by president emeritus Hal Wilde with whom I worked
for 18 years.
Also bidding farewell to me, the North Central College faculty planted a tree in my honour
with a bench and a boulder with an inscription on it which is displayed on the right.
